All about Nha Trang: history, scenery and cuisine

Beaches in Vietnam are really popular during the summer. If you are in Vietnam on your vacation, you can “run away” from the hot and humid cities for a short getaway at the beaches. Please grab Nha Trang bay which is best known for its beautiful white sandy beaches that stretch for 6 kilometers, cool waterfalls, ranges dramatic backdrop of mountains, with nineteen Islands, and an interesting history as well as unique culture & heritage.

Nha Trang is known as one of the most attractive coastal cities in Vietnam and it is also characterized by tropical savannah climate in a trasational zone between forest and desert. 1. Heritage history

Po Nagar Cham Towers: It is an excellent ancient architecture built between the 7th and 12th centuries. All of structures are a complex of 8 towers with a terraces pyramidal roof, vaulted interior masonry and vestibule. The towers stand on a grantie knoll 3km northen of city central. Early morning is a pretty good time to stop and enjoy the beautiful structures are filled with a rich history. Today, these temples still practices for worship by Cham, Chinese and Vietnam Buddism for maintaining spiritual life and social structure of the Cham.

Long Son Pagoda: Such an amazing sight to see, a peaceful experience as well as a pretty decent place to relax. Long Son Pagoda was founded in the late 19th century, there is the Taoist temple style on the ground for many local people come here to pray, then you can walk up to the hill around 150 steps you will see the 24-metre white tall Buddha seated on a lotus throne. From there, you can enjoy the great view of Nha Trang city the sea beyond as well as the surrounding landscape from the top of the hill. It will be a very great in your spritirual experience.

Long Son Pagoda

Christ the King Cathedral: An amazing western architecture was established by French early 19th century when Vietnam was the part of French Indochina. Nha Trang Cathedral actively serves the local Catholic community on a daily basic. If you want to see how French colonists influenced throughout Vietnamese culture – region, this place must be visited. There are two paths leading up to the church, you either can take 53-step stone stairway to the entrance or just walk on the stone pathway from the city square to the yard behind the church. Please note that it is closed for the visitation on Sunday.

The National Ocenographic Museum of Vietnam: Located at the foot the outcrop where Bao Dai – Name of the last emperor of Vietnam- Village is constructed. It is also another a grand old French-colonial building opened in 1992 in Southern Nha Trang bay. Museum is a large collection of marine life and ocean creature including reef sharks, turtles, anemones, pufferfish, lionfish, clownfish, seahorses, and a whole array of colorful coral.

2. Beach time

Beaches and Islands in Nha Trang are very popular destinations among the locals and also for the international tourists who love embracing sunny beaches on range of white sand, swimming as well as playing water sports. The central Nha Trang beach strip is extremely lively which are a lot of restaurant and bar action for party on the beach. If you prefer to enjoy quiet and natural-oriented lifestyle, you can explore to any bunch of island or bay and catch up the very popular and amazing sunrises and sunsets from the sea. Visitors to the Nha Trang always want to try delicious local and traditional food with rich taste of the sea, that you can go and try anywhere in Nha trang such as in the luxury restaurants, on the streets as well as local markets.

One of the most popular cuisines definitely is grilled fermented pork roll (nem nuong).
